ARCHETYPE: Shapeshifter is designed to be a well-rounded muscle building program built around upper body and lower body push/pull workouts. The program is designed with access to gym equipment in mind – stationary machines, dumbbells, barbells, and cable machines.

Don’t worry if you are missing a piece of equipment, you can always substitute a movement as long as you are progressively increasing the demands on your muscles and eating a caloric surplus, you will build muscle.

  • Shapeshifter follows a 2 days on, one day off pattern, with an extra day of rest at the end of the week.

  • You adjust the pattern to your schedule. Never stress about missing a work out. Missing a workout is not the end of the world; but be sure to finish the program.

  • Each phase of the program is 3 weeks long.

  • Mass gain happens in a caloric surplus, but that pertains to both fat and muscle. First, calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Try to keep your surplus at around an extra 250-500 calories a day.
